I wouldn't even consider trying to take a skidoo down most of the trails I ride in the summer, you'd be getting your skis stuck on just about everything...
Skidoos are wicked in the winter, and go wayyy faster, but a quad is far more nimble, and useful in the summer on bush trails...
And yes, you can take a quad over deep water if you have good balance -- Just need to air the tires up a bit more so it'll float
