It seems to me it's harder to make something that's really hard to crack than it is to crack something.

I'm not sure if he's laughing because he works or worked (i don't know) for the military or whatever, or if it's something I said because I really don't have the faintest idea about hacking or if the person volunteering is an "expert"(gets paid) or whatever.

I do know that for anyone to make and distrube cheats for a "challenge" that you'd be a really selfish, uncaring person to not even think of what would happen. No one really cares about cheating in games like CSS or wherever because you have 100s and 1000s of other servers to choose from. Not only that, but if he was *truly* in it for the challenge, then what is the point in releasing the bypass? Why not just crack it, try it, see if it works, and then move along to whatever else that might seem challenging.
