Newsflash: kids imitate the world around them. Were kids playing gladiators with wooden swords in the ancient Rome? Were they playing knights in the medieval? Are they playing superheroes with laserguns and whatnot, as seen in comics? Are they trying to cast Magic Missile after playing some random rolegame? I don't see any difference in trying to cast spells after reading or watching Harry Potter...it's all normal. I'd be worried if it DIDN'T happen.

There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly.
