The post you quote really doesn't make it clear how he does it--he could have modified the L05_halo.tga texture, which is explicitly mentioned in the dazzle.ini under REN_L5_STREETLIGHT.

Try using WDump on that model and see what you can find, or attach it and I'll take a look at it.

I'm going to split your dazzle post back out but leave the other stuff posted. Sorry--I'm just trying to make sure the stickied stuff doesn't get ignored.
