If Vista blocks too many P2P services, I don't think that people will change to it quite frankly.

I'd rather use Win 98 than using Vista if it limits me too much. And Linux also come with a lot of nice GUI now.

Think of the impact on broadband-companies. Who's going to give out money for high speed broadband if it ain't to download a lot. People using up over 20 giga per month, don't do that by simply surfing/gaming/downloading legal stuff...

The future in piracy combat will probably be hardware protections but there will always be people finding a way around it. And it will probably give a nice black market for computers without the hardware chip.
