My guess is the server is overloaded. Sometimes it just cuts the connection to a few clients and you can rejoin the same game. Although, it may be 6 on 6 when it was much larger, and you will enjoy the purchase terminal bug. Other times it cuts the whole client list and thusly cycles to the next map.
