Go into the options, and disable the Core Patch updates. Then download and install the standalone:
http://download.renguard.com/standalone_cp1.zip
or
http://download.blackhand-studios.org/standalone_cp1.zip

Once it is installed, you can renable the Core Patch updates if you wish.
