I can understand wanting to be absent without official leave during a battle, as some people can't hack it. I could even understand being AWOL when it comes time for your tour.

However, wanting to be AWOL when all they are doing is holding funerals for friends who have died, that is just wrong. "Hey look at me! I'm going to break the law, just to miss a friends funeral!"

I meant AWOL as I would not be going over there(iraq).I never meant for what I said to be taking in a disrespectful way.I'm not that heartless to cut out on a friend.or a funeral.
