Reborn | I have fedora version 9 (shrike) downloaded from a while ago, and i have the latest mandriva distro too (10.2)...
A built in linux remote desktop tool would be nice, the client and server too

I personally use Fedora because it was built of RedHat Linux. If you are going to use Fedora, you should probably update to the most recent version.
I'm almost positive that fedora has a built in remote access server. To connect to it you can probably just use RealVNC. I have never tried either the server or connecting to the server with that client. I know that RealVNC does work good and the viewer is free.
I'm far from an expert but I was stuck in your shoes a month ago.
