Why only 50% height? How the hell wouldn't it? If you think about it, it makes perfect sense that it's 50%. Think about it this way:

say you have a table of 4x4:

. . . .
. . . .
. . . .
. . . .

Now, you make the first cell, 50% x 50%, it'll look:

<td height="50%" width="50%"></td>
</tr>

Example:

. . . .
. . . .
. . . .

now 2 cells of 50% x 50%:

<td height="50%" width="50%"></td>
<td height="50%" width="50%"></td>
</tr>

If your code looked like this:

That'll look like:
