First of all I am looking to buy a server...so any good places to buy a server?

Next can I run brenbot on the server and is it easy to do all this. I already do host on and FDS with brenbot but would like to get a server and host 24/7.

http://www.frontlines-gaming.com <-- best priced servers available. 34.99 a month i believe for a 32 man server, I may be slightly mistaken. Hosted in texas, VERY fast and great. Yes you can run brenbot on it and it will be 100% cusomisable. Ask for help (ikaika on gsa runs the site, however, I'm not positive if they work on GSA and WOL. Talk to him about it)

In other words hes resselling servers from Server Matrix. It aint against the law or anything and hey it pays good.

Before you jump into something like this you have to ask yourself what you want out of it.

Do you want to learn how to setup and maintain a server?
Yes - Buy a server(put it in your house) No - Rent a server
Do you want to have a server at your house? (commonly helpful for things like printservers or local fileservers)
Yes - Buy a server No - Rent a server
Whats your budget? Do you have a wod now but low monthly to put out?
Lots - Could consider renting a server Wod - Probably look into a home server.

The main difference between renting a server and buying one is that if you forget to pay one month or nolonger can afford it you lose it. Anything that was one it gets wiped out. When renting a server you also get a faster connection and more bandwidth however.

If your hosting a server out of your house its easy to learn how to run a server. ITS YOURS! run tight on cash one month? You still keep the computer and all the information! Downfall is a slower connection and less bandwidth.

I would suggest buying a refurbished computer with a 3 yr warranty at a local computer store like Staples and running a home server off that. You can still run things like a renegade server and BR on it. You can also do things like run a webserver and even host your own email accounts like (firstname)@(lastname).com
