Well you could set DMZ host to your internal IP adress too and not open any ports.

I never find DMZ hosts worth it. It gives to much access. If your trying to run a server just simple open up the ports. If your not sure and iron-farts first suggestion didn't work call your router manufacturer and they can walk you through how to open ports on your specific router.
