Even more remarkable:

Peter Arnett got another job.

I would like to risk my job and say, I hope Arnett gets shot! This dumb fuck is trying to sabotage the Colliation efforts to end the war with the least civilian causalities.

And Geraldo, *shakes head* hasn't been the same since he made a fool of himself looking for Al Capone's Vault. He IS a US citizen that disclosed sensitive material. To me that is treason, or at the very least reckless endangerment! He should go to jail.

How about Peter Jennings. Could a reporter be more cynical? Listen to him. If the US government comments or gives a press release, it is always "Allegedly" or "Claims". If Iraq makes a statement; Jennings reports it as a fact.
Example: When to war started, we had a helicopter crash in Kuwait. Jennings would only say "The US CLAIMS (He did stress the word) the helicopter crashed. Iraq tried to say they shot down the helicopter. Jennings reported; "Iraq HAS (He did stress this word) shot down a US helicopter. This is another reporter that is a danger to the troops. When a reporter takes it upon himself or herself to make unconfirmed claims as fact, they are a threat to both sides. Any credibility the anti-war effort has can be damaged if they rely on Jennings. The pro-liberation group suffers because it misleads the public away from the truth.

Remove ALL reporters’ form the troops. This includes the US Army Press Pool. The civilian population doesn’t trust the USAPP, and rightfully so. I don’t trust the civilian press. The press is a distraction for the troops. In the back of the troops minds are 2 things when the press is with them in combat.
1. Protect the reporter
2. “I’m going to be on TV”.

Two very dangerous thoughts for a combat soldier. I have to end this post now. I will post more later.

R.I.P. TreyD. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
