To change viewport angles or to open more than one window go here: Customize/Viewport Configuration/Layout

Select the viewport layout you want and then right click the viewport window in this menu to change perspectives.

Here's a quick list of shortcut keys you can hit to change views:
[Keystroke] = [View mode]

F = Front
R = Right
L = Left
K = Back
B = Bottom
T = Top
P = Perspective
U = User

If that's not your problemb.....can you clarify your question a little bit?
