I must be a GOD.
I mean seriously, "the GDI base is impossible to attack!!!"
I prefer to be NOD because you can just buy the NOD artillary for 450 credits and go cane the enemy in the open, then if you place it just right (near the entrance) you can destroy the GDI Advanced Guard Tower and the weapons factory and they can't even shoot at you.

You can also use the same tactic as the GDI, buy the missile luancher vehicle and destroy NOD refinery, barracks and airstrip without the Obelisk even powering up!!!
