When you are doing repairs, repair the MCT (the control pannel you stick C4 on).

You can do repairs much more quickly.

Also if you see C4 on the MCT and you are just standing there with a free unit, change to the Engineer and shoot the C4 with your repair gun.

Repair Guns disable Nuke/Ion Beacons and all C4. You also get points for each item you disable. Mines are worth 30 points each!!
