Well on the under map, if you start off at basically nothing moneywise, my tactic is to go engineer and plant some c4's on the other team's harvester. Hopefully my teamates would be attacking the harvester and fighting off the other team's player while I plant the c4's. I can usually take bout half the hitpoints of the harvester and if there's a flame thrower or grenader, we can finish the harvester.
Then basically you have the advantage esp once you get an apc with an advanced engineer. Drive into their base and take out their tower or powerplant. Most likely they won't have enough money yet to have vechicles or mine the tower or powerplant because of the lost harvester.
Then you know the rest two timed c4s and 2 remote c4s on the mct and plant mines around it to keep the peskey engineers away. If they try to repair or diffuze the c4, stand in the beam so it repairs you while you finish him off =E
