Q: How Do I Install This?
A: Extract "AutoComplete.exe" into any folder and open it. If you experience a missing files problem once opened, you should install the "vbrun60.exe" setup file, which can be found on the Renegade Installation CD. (CDDrive:\Setup\vbrun60.exe)

Q: What Is The Purpose Of This Application?
A: This is a self-made application to be used alongside Renegade, that will type messages for you. We've all had times where you need to alert your team to something important, but you simply wouldn't have the time to type the entire message in the centre of a frantic battle field.

The program replaces pre-defined "presets" that you type, with the corresponding full sentence. Here's a good example - when you press F3 and type "repfact", the message text will be replaced with "Repair the Weapons Factory!".

There are over 170 preset commands already in the program, and you are able to add/modify all of the commands available to you

There are also presets so you may close the program directly from Renegade (no Alt+Tabbing). Also another feature, "AutoEnter", which decides whether the message will automatically be sent after the preset text is replaced.

There are many benefits of this program beyond Renegade, as the program will also work with ANY program that reads text input. Such as Microsoft Word where you may modify the commands so when you type "myaddress", your address is entered into the document. Or maybe Internet Explorer where you could create your own list of quick URLs. You may type "paulweb" in the address bar and it would replace with "http://www.pauls-homepage.com". This would also work for cheats in games such as GTA3, so you would type "fly" and it would then type "chittychittybb".

You are also able to print out the entire list, or alternatively copy the whole list into into the clipboard so you can manipulate it as you wish.

Q: Are There Side Effects To Using This?
A: Only a *very slight* slowdown of your computer, but it's really not noticeable.

Q: How Do I Uninstall/Remove This?
A: You only need to delete the executable ("AutoComplete.exe") and the generated configuration file ("autocomplete.ini"), found in the same directory with the executable. Also, this "readme.htm" when you are finished reading it.
