This is funny as hell.

However, just because two songs are in the same key and have the same structure does not make them the same song. Smile

Talk about AC/DC. Razz

Guys, do yourself a favour and pick up some of the "original" bands, instead of all these new shitty bands copying them.

flame me for what music i like if you wish but i think their music is really good and that they are very talented on their instruments.

also a fit blonde got on our shoulders and took her top of which was brilliant too. Very Happy

Judging from your post, I conclude that you do not play a musical instrument.

I always got these songs mixed up when they came on the radio. I didn't even know who made them or their names or what not.

I'm the same way. I rarely listen to the radio anymore though. I listen only to hear country music and news/talk. Razz

But anyway, maybe this explains why all that stuff soudns the same, maybe it's a trend among the genre.

When you make music to make money, you go with what works.

So true.

Dishman: Simple songs aren't always bad, though. Lenny Kravitz is pretty good and he makes rather making "simple" songs on the guitar.

What sort of music do you play? Can you also do the Double bass technique?

Can you play "Cyberwaste" or "The Glass Prison" by Fear Factory and Dream Theater respectivitely? Now you got me interested. I play guitar (especially improv. solos) yet I like a lot of drummers.

Takes alot to get your head round the double bass ut yes i can manage it, if i had any money I would buy two base drums and have a setup similar to Billy Cobham's (two base drums and around 7 sabian cymbal + hand crafted hand painted 7 peice drums). That would probably make my life easier.

and btw i play rock/metal (I LOVE the beat to For Whom the bell tolls by Metallica, simple as hell but its just fun). My fav drum beat HAS GOT TO BE Pick withers' from Dire Straits' "Sultains of swing".

if you have never heard of Dire straits, they are not heavy or metal they are calming slightly country style music but they're music is EXTREMELY talented. Mark Knopfler has to be one of the best guitarists out there, along with Eric Clapton, Jimi hendrix, and the rest.

I would seriously recommend:

Telegraph Road
Sultains of Swing
Lady Writer
Walk Of Life
Local Hero
Your Latest Trick
Down to the Waterline
Money For Nothing
Brothers in Arms
Among many others that I love.

Yeah I know the Dire straits. and yeah, they are good. But uhm, I'm not a drummer though, I'm a bass guitar player. But the Drummer in my band has a "double kicker". Instead of double bass. But, Is there any sound difference between a Double kicker and "real" double bass?

Also, Do you know the band megadeth? It's hardrock/metal. They also have a damn good drummer. One of their guitar players played guitar in metallica. He left metallica for some reason, I don't know why. It was Dave Mustaine. Anyway, check 'em out. some good songs:

Megadeth- train of consequences
Megadeth- Hanger 18
Megadeth- Peace sells
Megadeth- A tout le monde
Megadeth- Skin 'o my teeth

I don't know if you like death metal, If so, Check out morbid angel. Their drummer can drum so incredible fast. They have a song called "drum check". it's drums only, it's a drum solo. you can try to find it on kazaa.
