Nickelback, you lazy, talentless bunch of wankers. What, did you think nobody would notice that you're recycling your hideous dirge and selling it all over again to your deluded fan base? You bastards, you're taking advantage of those tone deaf MTV brainwashed twats who are too thick to notice you're releasing songs that are EXACTLY THE SAME as ones you recorded earlier. And here's the proof, people. Listen to their first godawful hit, played through the left speaker. At the same time, an equally shite single (released two years later) will be played through the right speaker. Can you spot the difference?

Don't worry, it's NOT one of those things that suddenly shouts HEY EVERYONE IM WATCHING PORN OVER HERE!.

Lousy untalented hacks. They were SO lazy that they just copied the entire goddamn melody? Bleh... I could understand using the same rhythm changes, maybe, but the actual melody, again? What a bunch of losers.

I actually like several of their songs...I never noticed these two particular ones were so similar, which is surprising to me since I have an ear (no pun intended) for sounds.

I can't remember which country, but there was a video of Nickelback opening for a black/death metal band...Chad goes "So you wanna listen to some rock and roll or go home?" The audience was completely silent. After a while, some people started throwing stones at them and they left the stage after giving the crowd a finger. Idiots.

Oh good God, that's awful. Never heard the songs before, but if I did I might have noticed, since I get déjà vu at pretty weird moments.

Judging from your post, I conclude that you do not play a musical instrument.

Guys, I just downloaded a proper quality version of this song (Someday) from kazaa, and that site is full of shit. The song doesn't even include the other song in it; try both speakers. I was already thinking the song could pass off fine with just the right speaker, and it turns out true. Download a real version and see, it's actually a pretty good rock song if you're a fan of Nickelback.

Umm, they're two different songs, one (someday) is played on one speaker and the other (whatever the title is) is played on the other speaker. It's how they match tunes, even though they start out differently.

And they're music is super-easy, coming from a guitarist's perspective. Even just be listening to it.

Never mind, I thought the site was trying to pass them both off as 1 song. LOL..

They don't sound THAT similar if you just listen to the second track with a better quality. I don't think its stupid to release a different track with a layout that worked for them 2 years ago. I mean if it was successful, worked and people liked it, why not use it? I quite like the song actually, but I liked the original too Wink

The songs aren't the same thing, I'll give them that much. However, they used the exact same notes for the rhythm verse/chorus, maybe with a chord every now and then instead of a power chord. The notes are used in the same order too, but they start out differently. To me, it just seems like they don't try to make a new sound, just write more of a blatantly overused theme of lyric. But they gotta make money I guess.

This is funny as hell.

However, just because two songs are in the same key and have the same structure does not make them the same song. Smile

It's only a remix if it's the same song. This was sold to the public as a new song.

I always got these songs mixed up when they came on the radio. I didn't even know who made them or their names or what not.
