I downloaded th 14 day trial and I'm having some performance problems and I would like to see if I could get some help to fix them.
Whenever I'm in a city in SWG my performance drops down to about 75% of what it was. Whenever I'm out and about away from any city, performance is perfect. The odd part is that this only happens when I start moving around. If I stand still everything runs like normal. But whenever I start moving again within the city it drops in performance almost immediately.
I've tried turning the settings all the way up and all the way down but it dosen't do anything. I've doen everything I can graphically to try and get this to run better but I just can't figure it out. Note that this only happens when I am inside a city. This does not happen to me when I am away from a city.
My system:
Windows XP Pro
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (4.4 Catalyst Drivers)
512MB DDR RAM
AMD Athlon XP 3200 Barton Core
KT600 Dragon Ultra Motherboard Platinum (Drivers are up to date)
WHATEVER, FAGGOT

Theres so much crap wrong with that game.
That happened to me too alot. You should just try to deal with it and try to go back to town as little as possible.
If you need to buy stuff just find a personal vendors store they always have nice stuff.
Only return if you need to heal your wounds or get a new quest.

Don't buy Galaxies, wait for World of Warcraft to come out, everything Blizzard makes has great polish and support. Plus the game right now looks awesome. Check it out at http://www.blizzard.com

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)
