hi i have been having some troubles lately with my web browser......i believe it started after installing a patch for ut2004 that my friend sent me..... ever since i patched it and restarted my computer the web browser has been acting extremely weird...... when loading up a web page (any one) it takes excessive ammounts of time to do so and it is taking the entire cpu just to load it........this has been going on for about 3 weeks now, my father has spent many hours and days trying to figure out the problem... we ran norton anti virus may times and ad-aware and spy blocker and it picked up nothing.... we went throuhg the entire registry and deleted stuff we didnt know what it was and things we did.... i completely uninstalled ut2004 and anythign to do with it..... but what is really weird is everything works fine... renegade works fine and anything else that has to do with using the internet. we uninstalled IE and reinstalled it and it didnt fix the problem.... i asked =HT=cmdr (you may know him) and he has never heard of this happeneing before. we went to numerous websites and other forums trying to find an answer but noone has ever heard of this problem..... i feel it is now my time to try and figure out what is going on and ask as many people as i can.... any kind of help or ideas of things to try would be greatly appreciated thank you very much...if ther is anything else you need to know just ask and i will try and tell you.

Oh great, u got a nasty program. lol
Basically i think, you may be missing something that is needed for the root of windows and has been delete and the registry may be changed so it cant be spotted. Also the file needed may only be able to be reached by reinstalling windows.
I suggest that you back up all files and password/usernames and WIPE your hard disk. Then reinstall windows and go thorugh the long hard process of having to install everything and get updates. And with the ut 2004 updates make sure you download for a site that is partnered with mircrosoft. So ppl bind a virus to such programs, these cannot be spotted easily.

You can only get it to fail if you take/stop the formatting. I have formatted about 5 times, mostly due to getting bored. Never crashed the formatting and reinstalling. The worst place and this is what urs sounds like is visting java pages!
