More and more servers today are adding the a1 or a11 or something in front of their server names to get people joining them... My server name begins with a C and I am half way down the list 
Another thing I have noticed is 9/13 servers (CURRENTLY) are empty. Most of them are empty around the clock as well.
Is it really necessary to bump the servers like that? If people keep going down, then people will keep TRYING to go up and we are going to get hostnames like a0000000 :rolleyes:

I agree, bumping your server to the top is just selling out. Not only that, you'll get a lot of inexperienced players who don't care what server they join. But hey, I guess that could be considered a punishment.

When I (used to) play, I would sort by pings. So I don't even take notice of the host names or server names.

Pings make a huge difference if you are not in the top five pings it can be a ghost town on your server.

Not always. The really low ping games tend to be full alot. And servers that are low-ping to me may not be to others, so many servers (in theory) should be occupied by players from different areas if they all go by ping.

Heh, everyone please take note of a00000sfv (or close to). We have joined the list of idiots to do this, pretty soon we will see a00000000, then a00000001. At some point it must end because this is getting retarded. But, my server just went to 20 players so I want to see it full, like everyone else, so join the crew, right?
