 | almor999 |   If you have a router chances are it has a firewall, you can acess these settings by typing its IP adress into IE(usually 192.168.2.1). 
 
You said you have Norton AntiVirus, is this just AntiVirus or is it Norton Internet Security?

It's just NORTON ANTI VIRUS 2004, not the Internet Security. 
 
EDIT: I also do not have a router, just a DSL modem.

I also have a ADSL modem, but there are 2 kinds. 1 is the USB modem, second is the ethernet modem. The ethernet modem actually has a firewall, it's not named a router,  but it has a lot of the same funtions as a router.
