Aren't the trials against these soldiers at Abu Gharib starting to...well, start?

Also, wwith the latest on internet rumors, supposedly there's some more fishy stuff about this Nick Berg thing. Apparently, the CIA had Berg in custody until right up to his execution, but denied everything. There's the whole thing where one of the terrorists of 9/11 used Berg's e-mail address, and the two were riding on the same bus when the terrorist used Berg's laptop computer. Also, during the interrogation scene, some astute people analyzed the film and discovered that the chairs in the scene are the exact same ones as in Abu Gharib, and one of the cloaked guys standing next to Berg as he is being killed is wearing a big gold ring. But Wait! Islam forbids its practicers from wearing rings! So this guy must not have been Islamic! Also, reports indicate that the guy people think beheaded him [al-whatever] has been dead for a while.

Now, it may turn out in a couple of days that some of the things in here are just lies, but I think this Berg thing is really fishy. And boy would it suck if we killed Berg.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)
