This is gonna sound stupid, and it is, but what kind of issues am I going to have on a modem connection at 53333 bps?
I thought I was going to be able to make it till fall, when I can get my cable modem back but I'm jonesin' bad.
I know to stay off of enormous servers like FastCONN 1 & 2 and their 50 player matches, but I deadly serious when I ask IS IT POSSIBLE?

I had in the early time a 64KB ISDN connection. But I never had any serious problems. Yes sometimes it happens that you get lag, but it isn't that extreme.
I remember back then with that connection I joined a server, together with a friend of mine, who already had a 512KB upstream ADSL connection. For some strange reason his pc had a worse ping then me. At some point in the game the host began complaining about him laggin the game, and evtually kicked him for it. I found it very funny, my friend, for some reason, was less amused.
Size doesn't matter.

I'll give it a try then, and see how it goes.
