Ok, I'm considering releasing a modified version of the input01.cfg that allows you to dodge ingame (works online too). Do you think this would be considered a cheat or not? Confused

I'm getting the exact opposite on IRC. It doesn't present any real advantage, besides the coolness factor.

I find that that dodge crap does nothign good for you at all. It's just a pain in the ass to dodge when you're in a one on one fight.

Yeah same for me.
If this dodging is in some way much like lagging around the corner of a rock shooting someone, then it should be disallowed for example.

But if this dodging is like in UT2K4's dodging, just a little fast jump sideways then maybe it should be allowed.
But the fact that not everybody has it makes it questionable.
As dodging if used properly offers an high adventage over players who dont use/ dont know how to use it.

same as jumping and straffing.......some people prefer to walk or run in striaght lines then bitch....Zunnie has a point, besides birdie killer (i mean xptek) If you used it on someone there is always the possibility of this; "OMFG WTF? BSBSBS I SO SHOT YOU WTF????? YOU CHEAT YOU CANT YOU FAG" see my point? It's alot of hassle if it gives an advantage to those who use it or have it.

There is also the possibility of a clash with Renguard, many things to consider i guess. Wink

I think you need to kick the cheater from your server lol.
The score is 36000+ for Nod and 7600+ for GDI?

i think it should a assigned to another key, its really annoying when your in a sniper battle and the character starts dodging and moving really slowly... Mad
