because of connection issues but after reading over the BHS public forums I know that I won't ever again. Ren was fun because of the very reasons that people are wanting to change it. Call me a purist but leaving the changes to a handfull of people and their yesmen seems ..... sort of wrong to me and seems to validate the points many have made about these people in the past.

simply put I was afraid renguard was going to be used for this and it seems I was right.

no long winded speeches or why I beleive this is wrong.

I want to thank the creators of Ren because I made a lot of friends while I played the game (lost a good one too)

so long and thanks for all the fun

john

A lot of the changes that they discuss will appear only in new mods and stuff. Nobody will want to change the original Renegade, or take away the option to play it as it was, so I don't think there is need to worry.

Hey man, I've had the same thoughts as you and same worries. I just choose not to use their fixes and upgrades. Hope to see ya in our irc still.

Yeah, RenAlert maps suck, Ive said this in RenAlert before. They said "You must like b2b"
"Well thats why you mine you base assclown!"
RenAlert should have all the vehicle cover normal renegade has I hate having to go up against a phase transport with a fucking AK!!! And to properly kill a vehicle you have to have expensive char, like I took out one of those missile things with shock trooper, then Ilagged and I got shot to death by a mechanic Evil or Very Mad

Is you lagging and therefore dieing somehow RenAlert's fault?

If you are using a free character, should you be able to take down a tank costing 1100 credits?

So the maps are huge and yet you have only one place to go? Oh, did the phase tank sneak up on you? THATS WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO. [I'm just guessing here, but that seems like a logical conclusion to make.]

While I can't discern how I was acting like a small penis, it is something that the random vehicle you chose is the only one in RenAlert that can cloak. But perhaps I should stop acting like ACK. [or AcK or AK or aCk or whatever]

1. No changes have even been decided, the forum was created to see what sort of things people would want and/or agree could be changed.

2. The changes, if and when they occur, won't be forced on anyone, they will be official standalone maps that you can choose to host/play or not.

3. You make it sound like Renguard was created just to force stuff on people. Wrong.

4. I'm pretty surprised of all people YOU to be making one of the "blah blah I'm leaving Renegade forever because blah blah blah I'm saying goodbye but won't actually leave" speeches.

5. I've seen nothing but spam from you in the past few months anyway. Maybe you should go spam on the boards of <whatever new game you think owns Renegade that you will get tired of in a month>

take issue with you want  Point proven with your elitist attitude sorry but that is the way I see it sort of like when you would kick someone off of n00bs and my server would get attacked taking down Fod's website, IRC ren and UT server

4) LMAO

because of connection issues

and that is true I can't because of horrible lag funny how I don't get it with any other game.

5) Thank you more of the elitist attitude that I pointed out earlier

I have no ill feelings but its seems you have some lingering over whatever. But , I remeber when I stuck by you guys when no one else would. Thanks for repaying the favor. I remeber someone saying If I hadn't have stuck by you ...... hmmm what was that they said ........

You also seem to forget the many secrets I kept on the bahalf of you and some others who are a big part of this site.

Whatever man. All I know is that you used to play Renegade pretty often, and we worked together on things dealing with the DDOS attacks that we were victims of. Then you suddenly stopped playing Renegade, and took up the hobby of creating spam posts on the forum. I didn't really mind them as they seemed aimed at providing enteraintment than real spam, but just seems to me that you have changed a lot from the foenixz that we used to know.

And now you make this "goodbye" post that is filled with disses to the community, renegade, and renguard along with misrepresenting what RG is even about and about the *alternate* maps being *discussed* with the public.

So, you make what sum up to a "Fuck you all, Im outta here" post, and I reply with basically "whatever, heres some stuff you said that was wrong, and you just spam the boards lately anyhow, so see ya later", and that ruffles your feathers.

Sorry man, but if you don't like Renegade thats fine, but I'm not going to miss you after the way you have been acting for awhile, and we see these "I'm leaving Renegade for <othergamehere>" posts every week or so. As I said I'm surprised to see one of those from you, but after reading your parting shots, then I will just say bye and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. If that makes me "elitest" then so be it.
