because servers owners keep taking renguard on and off servers its hard to tell when u are on a server that has renguard on or not, only when people join and u see them getting auto kicked by renguard u actually know its running, sooner we know we are on a renguard protected server the better.

I Think RenGuard will Prevale in the Renegade World.
Think of it this way...if you do get off a few good shoots noone can truly call you a cheater becuse the proof is in the Program (pudding)!!!
the only thing is now that i use it, Can someone plz tell me is there a patch to stop crashes with win 2000.????? in the game it keeps going-
-Connection to server is Interupted. I did not have this truble Untill after the update. hellppp plzzzzzzz.

servers that were once full that now run renguard on wol seem to be mostly emty i usen to play on noobstories but no one plays there any more why dont people with renguard support those servers??

first off win200 is great and only a moron that uses 2000 and cant understand his own ob, should not have a pc i have a 5 meg service it's great and 2 firewalls i never have trouble at least not untill i updated to 1.02 from 1.01 now i get some crashes not bad but still a little pain.

lol ??? There are not so much people playing on renguard servers...
On GSA and on Wol, you can find only one or two Renguard servers, but people who have rengaurd installed ( a lot yeah ) play on non-rengard servers... why ? because they lag on renguard servers.
I don't need to give you a proof of what I say. Just launch Gamespy, go to Renegade lobby... see by yourself !

I haven't noticed a decrease or increase in gameplay performance since installing and playing on RenGuard enabled servers. It's exactly the same. Quit your bitching.

Because your configuration is exactly the same as everyone elses. Other people also make up the fact that they lag for no reason other than to discredit the program. It just couldn't be possible that their complaints are legitimate, even when they're respected community members making the complaints.

The only 56k losers are adults/parents of kids that refuse to get their kid a better connection, when they can both afford it and are able to upgrade in their district.

On the other hand, people like me who have computers at college have no choice but to use a firewall. It sucks, and it has prevented me from doing a lot of stuff, including logging into irc chats. I've also discovered that not very many online Renegade games are connectively stable all the time. Nevertheless, it's not actually that big of a problem. I'm certain that if I actually learned how to mess around with my settings, I'd work around it. Yeah.

RenGuard is great, I have only 256MB RAM, a 2.4GHz processor, & an ok graphics card.
RenGuard adds no lag to my comp, it's great to know I can join servers & no longer have to be called a cheat, though most people don't wanna believe me when I say that I have RenGuard.
I think it'd be nice if, in servers that aren't RenGuard protected, there were a way to make RG auto-announce that the person has RenGuard or something. So that no one will or can rightfully call the person a cheat just because the person's good. 
If that can be done (which I'm sure it can), there could be an option to disable the auto-announce in non-RenGuard protected servers. Then, for the people who are good & get called a cheater alot, can have solid proof that they have RenGuard installed & active.
But of course, that's just an idea, I think alot of people would like to have that though, but that's just my opinion :rolleyes:
