I got a couple e-mails one says it is from AK and the other one says it is user info . . .
http://www.n00bstories.com/image.fetch.php?id=1102734900

They both have the same attachment on them, they are written in German I think . . . the atachement is titled "Norton AntiVirus gelöscht1" And the contents are

"Norton AntiVirus hat folgenden Anhang entfernt: pass-message.pif. Der Anhang enthielt die Bedrohung W32.Sober.F@mm."

What does that mean? This is just a text document so I had no worries of viruses. I just wanted to know

1. Why did both e-mails have the same attachment?
2. Did anyone else recieve these e-mails?
3. Why did I recieve these?
4. Is it truely from AK?

It's just a virus copying my name from someone's address book who got infected.

Norton anti-virus has removed the following attachment: passport message.pif. The attachment contained the virus W32.Sober.F@mm.

Aircraftkiller is right, the the "From" field has been forged. I remember when I got emails claiming to be from Dante and that "s8muk" (however you spell his name) guy during that huge virus outbreak.

The attached file is a text file. It was not originally in the email. You see, when someone has Norton Antivirus set to detect his or her email, it deletes any malicious attachment and replaces it with a message saying the file was deleted. That also explains the German message. It's saying, "Norton Antivirus deleted the file: pass-message.pif It was infected with the virus W32.Sober.F@mm."

God is the "0wnage". Plain and Simple.

Yea it is just a virus.

It's really easy for an email to be sent under another email adress.
