Renguard and BR 1.5? [message #76954]

Well i have a problem when i run these toghter, if i start BR first then rengurd is trying to find renlog and says this:

Looking for renlog.....
Renewing wheel in 120 sec...

And appearantly that makes RenGuard not to work, if i change the dir for where the logs is stored to where BR puts them it starts RenGuard then it shuts down RenGuard, so wont work either.

If i start RenGuard first it connects fine, no problem at all but when i start BR 1.5 it wont connect to the FDS?

Anyone know what to do whit RenGuard?

If I remember correctly, BR.Net relocates the logfile from the rengade data dir to a subdir within its own directory, so you probably have to put that path in the config file.

Yeah thought so as well, so i tryed it and then it refused to start up RenGuard, so that didnt help, RenGuard dont seems to like that path Sad

We will look into this. We had no contact with the coder of BR.Net 1.5 (I dont know if it was Dante or someone finishing it for him), so we didn't get a chance to test it. Don't worry we will fix the issue, either by making the SSC work with it, or building RG support into br.net (assuming whoever is coding it will work with us).

Something as simple as the fact that the file is not renlog_date and is archive_date might be causing RG not to see it.

This is just a possible suggestion to help make RenGuard and Blaze Regulator (BR.net) work together.

Adjust the coding and config file of RenGuard from:

# Path to svrcfg_cnc.ini
FDSConfigFile = C:\Westwood\RenegadeFDS\Server\Data\svrcfg_cnc.ini

# Path to Main Server Dir, do not forget trailing slash.
FDSLogFilePath = C:\Westwood\RenegadeFDS\Server\Data\Logs

To:

# Path to svrcfg_cnc.ini
FDSConfigFile = C:\Westwood\RenegadeFDS\Server\Data\svrcfg_cnc.ini

# Path to Main Server Dir, do not forget trailing slash.
FDSMainAppFilePath = C:\Westwood\RenegadeFDS\Server\

# Path to Log Dir, do not forget trailing slash.
FDSLogFilePath = C:\Program Files\BlazeRegulator .NET\Logs

This would allow RenGuard to locate the main Server directory, and look else where for the log files. Let me know if this helps and/or if someone gets those 2 working via other means.
