Yea, I made a Renegade video while messing around on stunt park. It's just over a minute long and kind of bad but sort of funny. Download here if you like:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/k.livingston/stuntparkmadness.mpg
^^ right-click & save as.
You should probably maximise your screen to see it better since TMPGENC won't allow a higher resolution
(Q for anyone that knows)
Do you know how to properly fade out the audio at the point you decide to stop the video? So far, the only thing I can do to stop it playing the rest of the song with no video is to force-abort it. But I can't get it to fade out at this point. Would the audio its-self have to be edited before adding it to the mpeg encoder to create with the video? Winamp might be able to do something like that.
Also, how do you clip the edges, for example the top & bottom, to gradually shorten the view span into a cinema type screen at the end, as a sort of finish up thing?
Any help would be appreciated.
And feel free to tell me how good/bad/funny/not funny/music 0wnz0r/music suxx0r/d00d this has been done so many times before, type of thing. Yes, shocking what some people end up doing while waiting for WOL to come back up.

I've never used that, but from the website it appears to be a conversion utility, not any sort of editor. I would suggest, if you can find a copy, Vegas video by Sonic Foundry, or Premiere by Adobe. Winows Movie Maker would probably work fine though, to do a simple audio addition/fade.

Surely you could make a Renegade video a tad more interesting. Just playing with the vehicle physics is easy, and relatively a dumb idea. And it been done before anyway.

I'm planning to combine several scenes from big AOW games (which I haven't got round to figuring out how), make it about a song's length and give it a kick ass track. Snipegod1 did something like this, except his was all sniping dudes off in their base. It was good but I want to merge things like defending your base against tanks, popping headshots, nuking buildings, sucessful engineer-transport rushes in choppers, all the shit that makes this game good. If I get round to it, no doubt you'll see a classic "timed c4 on the sniper on C&C field" tactic, where I always like to PM the sniper 2 seconds before it goes off, with "Boom". Gotta love the c4 countdown timer.
And about the FPS, that really depends on the HD speed, which in essense means you need a fan that takes full advantage of it, which means teh big bucks.

nice. May i suggest you try Adobe premier, and aftereffects? They are the SHIZ-NAT. You'll never go back, trust me.
How come adobe makes such awesome products? They're the only software company i know that releases hardcore editing suites like this.
