Just like the traditional spring cleaning, who has been feeling a social spring cleaning?

It started last week for me. People for really no reason have gotten pissed and have ceased to talk to me. One I may have had it coming, but the others, it just doesn't make sense. Today was the worst yet. Two of my "staff" got pissed off. One was actually a personal friend that i knew from work and another was from the other's irc network. My friend glined me and said he permanantely blocked me on AIM. It's kind of funny what the fight was about. Kinda stupid, i was pointing something out and then he got all pissed and called me immature and said that i act like i know everything. it's kinda true because i only speak on subjects that i know, so it comes across that i think that. oh well, better to have learned who's not a true friend.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone of you have ever experienced or are experience this.

whoa.

I've had similar things occur at the invisionboard.com community. I was gzlined from the IRC server by what seemed to be friends for saying I prefered vBulletin to Invision. Confused

yeah, he blocked me because i was saying what he wanted me to Photoshop was something other than a logo. he wanted me to create a logo, which he was asking to have a graphic on the top of a site that spans the page. well, all i did was ask, "u want me to make a header?" and he insisted that it was a logo. i wasn't really debating (which is surprising) with him about it, i just said that a logo is something that symbolizes your company. what he wanted was just a header for the site, nothing that would be recognized as a "logo." and that was pretty much it. i asked the other staff member who was his friend and then he got all pissed that i did that and glined me. fun times.

Bah, friends are a waste of time. I've never bothered with them, and I've been fine.

Friends in the real world are great, but online they are a complete waste of time and usually end up being backstabbers.

without friends, life is boring. what do you have? a job (possibly) and your computer. not saying that you can't be content, there's just an emptiness. i know, because im kind of going through that right now. i mean i have friends and i talk to them, but i don't do anything with them because i have no money (no job) and all i have is my computer. plus, i've gone through years of NEVER, i mean NEVER doing anything with any friends cause all i had were kids at school.

i do enjoy having personal friends when i can actually do stuff with them. it's awesome. try it, you'll be suprised to find that your computer was keeping you from a world of fun.

Same here, except that I did have friends once, but ever since I moved to Canada, that was long time ago.
I just can't seem to find real friends (only the on-line ones), but that is O.K for me.

Assuming this is is aimed at me...

I'm currently going to school as of september, and will be for the next 9 or 10 years.( Legal Assistant-Philosophy-Law). My computer as well, I guess... but I don't spend that long on it. Thinking up paper topics for my Avid Learning Philosophy classes takes most of my time.

But then again, I do "suffer" from Schizoid Personality Disorder. (NOT schitzophrenia, nor is there any danger of me becoming that, even though what I have can be a prelude to it.) Basically the extreme loaner side of the coin rather than the dangerous side.
