Hey guys!
I have downloaded Far Cry from the gamepro site, and have gotten really bad performance. Whenever I launch a game and it loads up, right when it starts I either have one or a mixture of the following:good fps missing textures such as water/radar/gunmodels, bad fps missing textures, or blue bars running across the screen every time I move. Also these problems persist whether everything is on high or low detail.
I can run high end games such as Halo PC (can set everything to high on SP without to much trouble), or play UTK4 fine....ect. My comp specs are:
2600+ athalon
Gig of RAM
120 Gigs of memory, with 40 Gigs being used
GeForce 5900 FX
So I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but I want the game since my clan is probably going to play/compete in it, I want to be sure that this won't happen with the full version of the game, and that it is only the demo that is messing up, and the full version won't.....

Well the demo is unlikely to get patched. In the full version i'd think that they would recognize the problem and deal with it. Thats just my guess though. I haven't played the demo or full.

well, i can say from experience, the Demo that is on the web (from january) is pretty buggy, and there will be a demo being launched soon that people can download that contains mp as well. it will also be a lot less buggy.
best thing to do is make sure you have the newest nvidia drivers, they are pretty specific on a minimal version of drivers for the demo.
