Aircraftkiller | It sucks anyway, you're not missing much.
|
Well why don't you come back and finish converting the remaning WW maps to TS versions! But since your gone... we have to play other maps....
Is there a smaller fix to replacing the always.dat? Like maybe add the single file it needs from always.dat?

K, but when you come back, at least convert HOurglass and Under they are the biggest stalemate maps...
Anyway, does anyone know what FILES Prision Camp and Kane's Castle need so that everyone who joins the server won't be falling down all day? I don't want to have to upload a 412mb always.dat to the server ...

Aircraftkiller | If I can't do anything for its community, why is it that I released over 30 multiplayer levels for it, got one into an official patch and updated it, and spend my time working on a game based off Renegade's engine?
People like you are either newbies or you have a very short memory.
I'm jealous of Titan? He didn't even make that, all he did was add spawners to a pre-existing level for single player, mission eight...
I'm not jealous of anyone in this community who works on levels. I have nothing to be jealous of.
And it's "you're," not "ur." You, not "u." Idiot...

Ack you answered your own statement, it says you "cant" do anything for the community not that you "have not", and as for glacier dont get me started on that POS, i bet not even 5% of renegade servers run the map. true i haven't done nothing for the community, but i never proffessed to. The thing that annoys me the most is your reluctance to give other people credit for the work they have done, whenever i see you post, all you do is cuss and flame, and you still expect people to give you respect.

revenuke | u made the maps when u liked renegade..... and this renalert, i am not sure whats keeping u working on it..... and not a newbie and i dont have a short memory.... it really suggest that u r jealous cause you flame them like this... and i not saying titan, its every other map maker.. and i will write "you" as "u", y do U care!?
|
Why do I work on it? Because I liked Red Alert, it was where I started with this community, and I want to faithfully transition it from RTS to FPS and make it as enjoyable as possible.
Unlike Renegade, which got bastardized upon conception due to suits at EA and an asinine producer.
Renegade Alert is not Renegade. It uses the same engine, but that doesn't make it Renegade any more than Red Alert being a simple "mod" of Tiberian Dawn. They both use the same engine, yet RA is different almost completely.

First off, my name isn't "Ack." It's like me calling you "dickhead," even if you are one, it's still not the proper term to refer to you as.
I know several servers that run Glacier Flying, regardless of how problematic it is. It's almost two years old, too - it's bound to have problems, not unlike the standard multiplayer levels themselves.
The fuck are you talking about? I give everyone credit for what they do if they've helped me.
I don't expect anyone to give me respect. I've told people, time and again, that I couldn't give a rat's hairy ass about people like you. Only those I talk with on a daily basis through some form of IM service matter to me. As for people like you, the second I turn off this computer and get up to go to work, I forget about you until I come back and see you post some self-serving garbage about how you hate me and all this other meaningless shit.
I'm so hurt.
I don't kiss my own ass. I'm very critical of myself because I aspire to do the best I can with what I design and create.
Since you've been wrong on almost everything you just wrote out... I would shut up, if I were in your position, since you seem to care about forum visitor respect.
Like it matters...

I would just copy the ren always.dat and the single player levels directly into your fds data folder.
If that doesn't work (or causes problems of its own) then I am sure someone will look into it more deaply.

put all the m0#.mix's in your server data folder
I think prison camp uses m04.mix and kanes castle uses m08.mix
Not sure but to be safe add them all in there.
Or wait til I find exactly which ones and I'll edit this post with the right m0#.mix that it is.
I dont think you need any always.dat files for these maps...its just the terrain w3d found in the m0#.mix's that causes the people to not fall thru.
