There are plenty of games not made by EA or one of their underlings. Like Civilization III, Call of Duty, the GTA series, and a few I'm looking forward to like Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, UT2K4, Evil Genius and plenty of others.

This game has a puny fan base compared to games like counter-sh*t. A developer wouldn't waste money on making a Renegade 2.
