When games of this genre and time period are made, their makers almost always chose to follow an alternate reality because that allows for much more freedom to create new plots and senarios.
If you ignore that fact, it won't hinder the whole location of the battle.
EDIT: But seeing as ACK just showed that there was a large US role in RA, it is probable that the Soviets would benefit from attacking Pearl Harbor.

Someone already released a fan map based on Pearl Harbor for Battlefield 1942, and it's way more accurate than yours...Sorry to bring this to you though.

Here is a pic of it so far, it shows the allies island base 
The map will only have naval and flying units, no ground except for maybe a few spawning rangers around the allies base since its so big.
