PsY and Ty simply supported it) anyways after talking it over with them, they got a inside source on the renguard team and already have the latest private relase of renguard and have the cheats still working. The only problem they ran across is when the server will be put into pure mode, which renguard hasn't done yet but has plans to. Pure mode is where the server puts it on and your skins/mods/custom files don't work, only the ORIGNAL renegade files do work. I remember some time back me and some guys fooled around with server side only hacks, thats about it. But really renegade is going slowly die. Reborn was suppose to save it, it isn't. RenAlert will be good but it won't save anything. I see renegade dropping about 50% of its users once half life 2 comes out, about 20% once doom 3 comes out. Not much we can do, in the end, EA is the one that fucked us over. Unfinnished game, no support, even for the modders. Why you think I stopped modding renegade? It's a waste of time. No support, countless bugs, a fucked up community. You got people like aircraftkiller running the community with his shitty maps, and you wonder, what kind of community are we in. If it wasn't for smokers lounge and oz and my old buddies still playing I would be long gone from the community. Thats the only thing that keeps the community going is friends. The cheats are ruining the community faster though, friends accusing friends of cheating, good players get accused of cheating, like rohm, he's the best player around and always have and god knows how many servers he gets kicked from.

Well, he is half right.

PsY didnt create nothing, he is just a kid who hangs around with dumber kids who love Ty..

Ty had help from Groza in producing Final Rene.

I wish people had a clue..

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

Lying Sack of Shit

they got a inside source on the renguard team and already have the latest private relase of renguard and have the cheats still working.
Thats the funniest thing I have ever heard. For one thing there is no "private release" of RenGuard. The RenGuard team nearly tore my testicles off for letting someone see a SAMPLE GUI that I made in about 2 mins just brainstorming on what the interface would look like...a HUGE deal was made about this "leak" of a jpg of a hypothetical GUI, that ONE person saw. So believe me when I tell you, there is not the slightest chance in hell that anyone outside of the RenGuard team, much less Ty or PsY has even a shred of the RG code.

That entire post is a steaming pile of crap.

This is what keeps any community alive.

The irony of his post could make people stupid.. it's people like "him" that ruin a community, spreading shit about it dying to off-heart people into moving on. Then again, anyone with half a brain will realise it's what _they_ care about, and not what people like him do.

Let's see...

Renegade will die because of the following games-
Planetside(yep we're still here)
Halo PC(Yay, still here)
BF1942(fun, wrong again)
Savage(yawn..this is getting old)
Unreal Tourny
SWG
...

and now-
Half Life 2

I have my money on staying alive for awhile more.

I dunno. Some stuff dies other stuff is immortal. I can still find quite a few people playing sof2 at any given time. Even though its so old.

I think EA will pull the plug before renegade dies

We have had lots of BA members leave to play new games, many you just wrote about above. But for some weird reason they keep coming back to Rengade rather its the friends or the game I assure you our return rate for the game is very high. Tell me there must be a bunch of you out there that played other games but come back to play old faithful Smile
