Ok, when you buy a vehicle, only you can get into it for a while (obvious statement). So what are the conditions for being able to get into a vehicle that isn't yours? (i.e. Stealing the other team's vehicles)
Just from observation, if a vehicle isn't taken for a while then I know other players are allowed to take it. But is it true that:
--Killing the person who bought the vehicle before they get in will allow you to take it?
--Getting in and then immediately out of a vehicle right after you buy it will allow others to take it?
What are the parameters?

if your base is about to die, and they jump out to repair the building, TAking the tank is your DUTY!
if you see a back stabber, it is your duty to take the better tank and blow up the other
If its in the Field or somewhere far from BAse Defences, or away from base when u are NOD (cause gdi with no defence should enver leave tanks even in base, unless tunnels and infantry entraces are mined well)
they buy 2 vechs, take one
when the player is buying 10 tanks and 5 stanks and 1 APC is comming in, and the moron team mate is taking up the WF, not letting take the Vechs, and saying, "you'll be happy when the WF blows up", in Field ... this is a good time, my god this happen last week, we couldn;t attack cause we where max out, and 5 of the tanks where his, and he put them at the base entrance, its like i wanted to loss to prove how dumb this kid was!

You ask if you can have the vehicle and if the owner says you can have it you take it.
Otherwise you don't.
However I do make a distinction between stealing and borrowing.
There are times when your base is under attack and you don't have time to ask (you need to stop three flamers now).
Under this scenario I think its ok to borrow a vehicle, however after the emergency is over you have to give it back, and if you get it destroyed you must buy the owner a new one.

If Player A buys a tank (or whatever), then only Player A can get into the tank for a set amout of time (10 or 20 seconds or so, I don't know the actual value). After that time has expired, than anyone can get into the tank, friendly or enemy.
If player A enters the tank then gets out (before the set time is up), anyone can get into the tank. PlayerA released the tank for anyone, including the enemy.
If playerA buys a tank, and is killed before entering the tank, even if the set time is not up, then anyone can get in the tank. Once player A is killed, the set time is up. This is a usefull tactic, especially for GDI as killing people trying to get into thier tanks on an airstrip is usually easy.

I really couldn't care less if someone steals my vehicle...I've usually got too much money from repairing stuff all game to care if I lose it. I will, however, set my timed C4's on it (provided FF is off), just in case no one on my side gets in. That way, if an ally gets in it there's a flash, bang, puff of smoke and nothing happens. If an enemy gets in, it's bye bye bozo. In either case, when I get out of a vehicle, I'm not gonna get back into it, so someone else might as well make use of it.
It would be a problem if you were tight on cash, but when you're an engineer all game and have 6000+ credits to blow, even a stealth tank or mammy isn't a big loss. If you have the money, just let the other guy have it and save yourself the trouble.
On the other hand, if you DON'T have the money, you have every right to piss and moan about the little bastard making off with your ride. Every team needs a designated Mr.Fix-it, though; tank drivers should not have to give up their vehicles in order to save the base.

that isn';t too obvious .. i bought a mammy not relazing im in the PP in Volcano ..i couln;y get to it .. i was killed 3 times treying to get to it by sniper .. and a engy jumped in

How in the hell do you get killed three times by a sniper? You'd think the first time you would start jumping around behind bar and WF and ref to get to it?
Even then, you ask a team mate to jump in for a minute lol. Sniping is hell fun, HSing the little engis trying to get to their tanks  it was prolly me who shot you heh.
