I'm trying to get rid of the HUD (for a video) and getting rid of the images was easy enough, but some things I'm not even sure if I can get rid of.

Is it possible to get rid of the health/armor/ammo numbers, the Credit and Time Remaining displays and the player display in the top right?

Well, if you can't figure that out you can always edit the video and put it in widescreen. Smile

I suck cock and love it... absolutely love it. And I just got banned for being too immature to be allowed to post here.

I believe it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Westwood > Renegade > Options > IsHudShown

Change the hex value to "0" for off.

I think that's it anyway. Confused

I really expected that to work, but it appears that changing the key didn't do anything Confused

Note you could always make a cinematic video like dante made a few of, its letterbox with no hud at all.

Yeah, I just went into to test it and it was still there. I didn't before because my laptop was running low on RAM.

I Wonder what that key is for anyway?

That's weird, all I did was completely blaken the Alpha channel of hud_main.dds and it got rid of all the graphic stuff (except the weapons icons since they're in seperate files).

It's only the text stuff I can't get rid of. I guess widescreen/letterbox is the best option at the moment Confused

you can make the text size 0 and it will be tiny...Ive alpha'd out my HUD and made the text as small as possible and its barely noticable.

Thats your best bet

or maybe even try leaving the text blank and size blank...might just do the trick.
