Why don't you find out, make a plane using height field, and paint it some if you want, make your bots, and a couple of GDI and Nod spawners and test it.

Good for you, if you don't know if somthing will work, best thing to do is try it, unless it is somthing major, then I would ask around to see if anyone else has tried it, and if it worked.
