Citing animal homosexual acts as proof of it being natural is always going to be dodgy ground. Mainly due to the fact that then you have to take into account many more of the motivations involved, like instinct verses desire, and the sense of self. Sens of self being when a creature is capable of understanding a)the affect of it's actions on others, and b)Having the abuility to empathise emotionaly with others.
The Benobo Chimp is said, like all chimps, which technicaly includes humans, is said to have a sense of self, and uses sex as a social tool, to cement relationships, and assert dominance. If there's a hell for chimps these guys are well on their way Razz

, they not only shag hetrosexualy, but homosexualy, insestualy and infantaly. Does this mean that because it's seen in nature incest and pedeophilia are ok? I would have thought not.

What it does show however, is that sex is not just about sexual attraction, but also about asserting dominance, which is also attributed to the high rate of sexual attacks in prisons.

I'm not looking to support or denounce homosexuality, but I just find the argument that it's ok cos u see it in nature should be thought through a bit.

We're geneticaly closer to chimps than many other animals we quite happily put in the same catagory, the only reason we reffere to ourselves as homo sapiens, as opposed to pans (chimp) sappiens, is because the victorians didn't know about genetics, and had issues with Darwin and evolution.
