What the hell does "Invalid_session" mean? I tried replying to a thread in the Politics/Hot Issues forum yesterday and I got this big fat error after I pressed submit. I couldn't post on any forum after that. I couldn't even log out! I kept getting that "Invalid_session" message! What's the problem here and how do I prevent it in the future?

It appears because of a bug in phpBB 2.04.

It's semi-related to your ISP, where it sends the information around different servers, causing this invalid ID. There's not much you can do to cure it yourself, the only way around it is for Crimson to update these forums up to the 2.05 version, where the bug has been fixed.

It's been suggested before, but the chances of her updating it are pretty low considering the amount of changes she's made to the phpBB source code. To get the forums to operate like when they were hosted by Westwood.

Yeah proxy servers also cause the problem, genrally this means AOL users if your at home, but if your at work/school etc. and your using a shared connection then it's normally because it goes through a proxy server or some kind of filter.

Refreshing/resending the page/form normally fixes it temporarily but you may find yourself clicking a few times until it eventually loads.
