:rolleyes: Man, whom are you quoting? My point is that the word "sucks" isn't being used by those companies, so it's not insulting in the way ACK is insulting Reborn.

The diffrence between ACK way and companies is just that companies use more tactic when pointing out that they are better. With as a result that people don't get offended so easily by that company for what they are saying.
ACK is not really known as someone who brings something with a bit of tact, he just says what he thinks. The problem is that altough he maybe right sometimes, the way he is bringing it will almost always result in a small flame war.
I think the whole point that Terran Drone is trying to make is:
ACK please use more tact when complaining. People might not take you as serious this way as you want.
Size doesn't matter.

Who am I quoting? No one. Just because you view commercials in one way (which hapens to be the same way I do) doesn't mean someone won't view them in the way that I've proposed. And yet you STILL fail to understand WHY they don't use words like that. So I'll explain it again.
In the law there is this little thing called defamation that prevents one company from defaming another in an attempt to keep competition healthy. However, if given the chance, one company would bring up the competitions dirty little secrets in an attempt to get the consumer to choose them over the others. How do I know this? There is no shuch defamation law concerning political advertisements (at leasts in the States), and if you've ever seen 99% of Americas political advertisements, they're all about "look what this person voted yes/no on! They're cruel and inhumane! Vote for me because I won't do that". And yes, this is a very toned down replay of the advertisements.
Wow, three times explaining the same thing... and yet your telling me to read?

It's not important why they don't use those words, it's important why ACK shouldn't use those words. He wants to get into the industry, so he shouldn't use such words, he shouldn't react in some ways and he shouldn't judge in some ways. Otherwise he won't come far.
Now I don't need a story about political correctness in America, cause in my country we're being flooded with that hypocrisy. Your story though is true, but Ack's (almost) nothing yet in the real world, so he shouldn't have the attitude as if he's a whole lot. My point is just that making friends, contacts, references etc is better than being an arrogant prick.

I have the same problem, tact is not in my vocabulary but if he speaks his mind let him, its what he has one for. i do the same and make no appologies....yes it can and does cause arguements and as a result the person themselves maybe an arguementative person, one who is opinionated and wont change what they veiw as this, that or the other.....but it shows character and at least you know they will let you know if they have a problem with you face to face and not call you names when you are not there to defend yourself, coz that alone cheeses me off royaly.
But again we come back to the source....its an opinion and everyone is entitled to their own, and as a public forum, this is where you voice them
