Thought up of something to help slow down cheaters, or stop them or something. . . What if you were to make several websites or something with "cheats" on them, but the thing is they aren't cheats, they are the opposite of cheats. Small heads, low damage ETC after visiting several sites and downloading cheats that don't work the n00bs will eventually get tired and stop. Also this will help decrease the possibility of finding real cheats. Also have these work with RenGuard and when a player is caught using specifiacally these ban them from the server and add them to the black list or whatever it is called, thought the player wouldn't be cheating they should still be banned for trying. I don't know how you would do this but I am willing to learn if it will help stop the spread of cheats, I already registered a free domain that currently isn't working some reason? http://www.rencheat.tk (just registered) With the .w3d importer for 3DS Max5, are you able to import the .w3d then save it after you modify it? or do you have to save it as a .3ds or whatever then import into Gmax, then export it as a .w3d from Gmax? Also how would you modify damage, speed, health, ETC. I AM NOT TRYING TO FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE CHEATS I WILL RELEASE THESE AFTER THEY ARE MADE IF I CAN MAKE THEM. BTW if anyone would like to help just post here or send me a PM or something, would it be possible to make skins that make people invisible because if it is it would be funny to make some skins that make infantry or vehicles invisible so you can't see them. . . If you can do the invisible skins then what color would they have to be, and what settings would the .dds have to saved with for it to be invisible?

As I said in General Discussion, you wouldn't even need to waste your time making new skins and stuff if it red lights people with the hack so RenGuard bans them automatically.

As I also said before, good idea Very Happy Very Happy

So the domain works now YAY! I was a bit worried because it wasn't working at first, would anyone happen to know why it wasn't working at first. Could it have just been becasue I recently registered it? Ohh well Thanks for all the support guys and gals.

I would be happy to help, and like I said in the mod forum (this is to renguard staff)
Matt2405

But what if cheaters and hackers DO slip around renguard which I highly doubt but would it be possibly to make some sort of high light cheat?

What I mean is make a sort of "alert" mod and say it is a cheat, and that cheat stands out to rengaurd,

e.g. Renguard is a security camera in the corner of a 1.5 metre cubicle and saddam come's in with a blinding lantern on his head that the securety camera can't resist to look at and maybe...how do you say......call security.

In other words a mod that is called a cheat that renguard basically spots in about a second and the person who is using that mod is immediately kicked and even banned. Is that possible?

Do you reckon that is possible and would it work?

If you built it up with RenGuard, it would be pretty easy to make a "Red Flag" mod.

Oh and by the way, these might come in handy so.....

Matt2405

I know this is a stupid question but what about those bots in the chat rooms of WOL? They always advertise cheats, aimbots and all sorts. How do you get those things? Becuase they would come in handy.

How do you get those?

Good question I have been wondering how to make bots like that for AIM (AIM bot LOL!) I would learn how to make those if I knew where to find out about making them or where to find out where to make them, but i imagine they work something like sending out a random message, or a specific message every so many *insert time interval* from a list of messages or something. It doesn't sound like it would be hard to do but I know nothing about this, hell I don't know how to resize stuff in 3DS Max

this has got to be one of the most stupid threads i've seen in a long time(other than the bush bashing ones)

so, you want us to trust that you people have only the best intentions toward the future of renegade and to tell you where to get bots to spam the chat rooms and how to make cheats so you can be the anti-cheat of renegade.

would you also have any lake front property in florida or bridges in brooklyn to sell? i'm in the market.

Florida has lots of lakefront property.

I think you're looking for the state of Nevada, or Arizona, for that particular figure of speech.

Florida has lots of lakefront property.
That doesn't mean it's for sale, and if it was, it would be a hell of a lot more expensive than land in Nevada or Arizona... you didn't understand what spotelmo was saying I guess.

I knew people would think that I am doing this so I can make cheats but I will be releasing these once they are done. If no one will help me I'm sure I can PM a few people about it.

heh i love it when people TRY and make cheats then realize how annoying it is and even though they are not even close to being right they still try. i have a feeling I spoke to this guy on gsa. Asking me how to make cheats when we were advertising the new version of anticheat awhile back. How sad

actually, it's an old figure of speech which refers to conmen selling lakefront property in florida to unsuspecting rubes who buy it sight unseen and then find out they have actually bought property in a swamp.

i'm surprized you've never heard it before.

No, I didn't. I'm accustomed to the term "If you believe that, I've got some lakefront property to sell you... It's right outside of Flagstaff, Arizona."

Maybe you just didn't get what I was hinting at. Ever think so?

Oceanfront property in Arizona is another one. Comes from the days when people thought California would fall into the ocean after the next big quake.

It is a pretty good idea. but i think i said it before and ill say it again. PM Something like this too the people that can help make it happen!!!! Your plan has been posted here couple of times about false cheats and stuff well all of them were good but now suck because its right here in the OFFICIAL RENEGADE FORUMS of which MANY people read which means that cheaters will see it and your plan is completly blown. Mad
