I was thinking, it would be kinda cool if you could type while playing. When you type you can't move or shoot. If they could make it so that you could still look around and shoot and maybe hold down another button like backspace and still move around that would be cool.
You could pre-type in a message, run around, and when the situation is right, you could press enter...
I don't know how difficult this is to do... so I don't know if I'm asking for a lot... but if could you could do it, it would be cool.

I dont think the renguard team are the right people to ask this, but nice idea. it would probably be in a script.dll, or else the game engine would have to be changed.

No, it is possible, but it will have to be an external application just sending out pre-set messages. Good for spam.

Sounds like a good idea, but I'd only vote for it if the app had a spam filter, like you can only send so many messages in a 30-second period or something. Good idea, though.

Yeah, this can't be done... it has to do with how the Renegade engine takes control of what your mouse and keyboard can and can't do while you're playing. Supposed to prevent aimbots (or make a damn good effort).

It is possible with DirectX 9.
An external application can send key presses to the game so canned messages can be chatted with a single key press.
I am not sure you would want to use the enter key but .....
