I know that feeling Spencer, I hadn't taken the time to talk to him for over a year...as our last conversation was too depressing(his issue was the same as my father's).
I sent him a message the other day after talking with Blacky, but it seems it was too late. I wish I had sooner.
May you always have infinite coffee, z.

deliver on, or forum trolls who contribute nothing except to bloat the fragile egos of the same
rejects I despise.

This is the last news I would ever expect to hear. Very sad about this. Zunnie was an awesome person and always there for others before even thinking of himself. The time he took to teach, the free games to get you involved, just the time we spent talking on TS and hearing his bird sing in the background and oh the coffee breaks. I was so happy when he came back here recently, was hanging on IRC and TS. My gosh he was on just a week or two ago hanging with the Aussie gang on TS. Stunned and shocked.
It is rare when you meet peeps you can call friends much less in a virtual environment like we have. But meeting someone like him, words escape me other than; I am honored to have known him and cherish the time we spent together.
R.I.P. my old friend you will be missed.

Jan "Zunnie" Wessels was a friend for near twenty years. His funeral was today and while it was very sad, it was very nice to see how much his family loved him, especially his nieces and nephews who he talked about so often and with so much love.
He was a mentor to me in so many ways. I'm so sad that he has left this Earth.
He was the best of us and so free with his time and emotion. Without "Sunny Zunnie" I wouldn't be the person I am today, have my job or the skills required for it.
Perhaps a little overly poetic and sentimental, but I left a copy of renegade on his casket. I spoke with his family and told them of his legacy, achievements, accomplishments and the impact he had on so many people.
I will miss him deeply.

OMG That's perfect you left a copy of Ren with him. Thank you for this post giving us some insight to today and being there.

Thank you for that reborn, at least one of us was there to send our friend on his way to the beyond.

That's a great thing you did for him. I only had the pleasure of speaking with him a few times and he was a really amazing person. He was always quick to help those that needed it.

Sad to hear people passing away from such a great community. R.I.P. Zunnie.

He had mental health issues and just had enough of this world.
