problem connecting to n00bstories IRC [message #490154] |

All of a sudden I am unable to connect to n00bstories IRC (at irc.n00bstories.com). Was working fine before but now it says "ERROR : Closing Link: [27.33.80.219] Z:Lined (jonwil, Your IP, 27.33.80.219, is in our TOR Server List.. http://www.ahbl.org/tools/lookup.php?ip=27.33.80.219)"
I cant seem to visit www.n00bstories.com either.
I have never run TOR on this machine (nor would I want to) and the IP is just a standard IP address provided by my ISP. Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening all of a sudden? Is anyone else having problems accessing n00bstories IRC or n00bstories.com?

Website is working again for me but IRC still wont work (same error). I dont have Java installed because its a bug-ridden piece of crap (I say that as someone who has not only USED Java in the past but actually WRITTEN Java code) but the web based IRC client would fail in the same way since it appears to route IRC traffic straight from your local machine to the n00bstories IRC server.
A little reading of the www.ahbl.org website indicates that the blacklists it supports are either gone or going away which seems to explain why its returning bogus results and blocking people it shouldn't be. I do kinda see why n00bstories IRC might want to block TOR exit nodes (to avoid people using TOR to get around the various forms of IP bans) but I guess they need to find a new blacklist to use.

As someone who develops in Java all day at work I can confirm this statement that java is indeed a piece of crap, and even when bugs are the issue its busy wasting resources out the ass.

never programmed in Java, but used Java.. the errors and problems.. (memory leak mostly).
They should another black list or remove it, we're still banned.

I have static ip most of the time, that tor detection will still ban.
