he was struggling with scripts 4.0 but eventually got it to work (or so i hope)

EDIT: I got it to work! but you and others should know that avast! antivirus seems to really hate the scripts .exe, it calls it a virus and I had to pretty much disable avast so I could download a FULL copy of the file (one that avast didn't chop in half when it stopped the download) and then keep avast off so I could install the scripts, even when I turned avast back on it still wanted to kill scripts .exe but anyway I should be good to go now.

Norton does the same thing but that is because it is Norton.

I played around with it and realized that because it considered scripts a virus, avast! was stopping the download in the process and that's why my computer wasn't recognizing it as a 'Valid Win32 application.'

Once I told avast! to back off, I was able to download the complete .exe and install it. Then I reactivated avast! and it still quarantined the .exe but of course I didn't need it anymore.

ideally, it would be great if all the antivirus programs out there didn't immediately shit on it, but i'm not sure what TT can do about that
just a heads-up that Avast! is apparently racist against it

Any word on this?

I see a comment every other week that the Tiberian Tech site or the installer is being blocked by an antivirus.

Talk to your anti virus vendor of choice then and inform them of a false positive, TT can't go around chasing anti virus vendors all the time, there's far too many of them for us to be testing against constantly.

We've send false-positive notices in the past, but with every update, the AV again treats it as a threat. Highly annoying.
