from what i gather, cw.cc community war teams were terrible with teamwork, not a lot of them were willing to tech for example, Jelly on the other hand excels at that

I am pretty sure simpee clear spoony hitman jamie i0ncloud and a bunch of cw guys have helped jelly in some comm matches over the years.

Liquid, I would agree with you until I started playing 2v2 with crush against hitman and wiggles. I actually now believe them when they say they just fuck around in public servers. Not to talk shit about your skill, but how did you actually dominate these cw players? I've played pub games my whole renecareer and I do well myself, but after playing with hitman and wiggles I was COMPLETE shit. My individual skills was nothing compared to theirs. Pistol, tanking, flying, everything. I can't even put my head around the statement "cw players suck at public games". Everytime mudkips, rohirrim, and I are on the same team its pretty much an instant win lol.

not gonna bother argueing with liquid lol
cw players are better at every single aspect of the game, except for maybe tunnel sniping, but probably that aswell lol
i dont see how they wouldnt take those skills and use em in public, its not like you're playing vs people who even understand this game

also: cw.cc would of easily won every commwar that ever came around, if every individual person involved tried their best, which was barely ever the case, still i dont think i ever lost a commwar while playing for clanwars, and i've played quite some

You do learn far more in clanwars than playing public servers.
Every little 1v1 in a clanwars matters, whether its a pistol fight at the start or a tank battle, lose that 1v1 and your team is in the shit. In a public server that isn't really the case, I know you'll get the odd tech rush etc where 1 pistol fight makes a difference, but in the main if you kill 1 dude there's another right behind him.
Someone who learns their skills in clanwars could adapt to public servers quicker than the opposite. You learn how to pistol, fly, tank, mine etc because it all matters. The skills you learn from learning to win all these little battles make a world of difference in a public server. You don't rely on having 3 techs on your arty, learning to to dodge and repair mid-battle is something the majority of pub players still can't do, yet it's second nature to a clanwar player.
I've played both for as long as I can remember on this game, and I can say 100% the shit I learned playing in cw's made me a much better player than just playing public servers.
I used to play both actively, so I got a balanced view of both facets of the game and what involved in each.

I remember you getting a chemmer on complex in a commwar once and everyone on your team whining you were fucking about. Then you stopped an APC rush with it lol

You also just learn not to bother as much in public since people do such boring and retarded shit like, camp certain spots, sbh all game, dont care about harv, block, and an unending list of stupid shit people do.
Then you aren't on edge because people aren't constantly attacking you, and doing everything they can to kill you, you aren't as quick and you aren't as good. cw players aren't as good in public as in cw games, but they are STILL better than pub players.
It's just not really worth the effort bothering when people are playing with the intent not to win the game, but with the intent just not to die.

CLANWAR PLAYERS SUCK CAUSE THEY HAVE A LIMITED VIEW ON RENNY, SO THEY NOT GOOG NUFF TO PLAY PUBLIC
they play the best players to ever play this game, got more overall knowledge about the game than a public nod/gdi team combined, better tanking & infantry skill, way quicker thinking,but they can not do decent let alone good in a public server, where 30% of the people are under 12 years old(translates to tib sydneys,rocket troopers and chem warriors), 30% is sniping all game long, just sittin on that wall with no intention to progress in the game, 20% is SBH doing nothing all game long, or just plain AFK, and the other 20% is playing their best to win the game, but have absolutely no teamplay or good individual skill(no, i dont call saying "GET STANKS MEET BEHIND HON" actual teamplay)
pretty sure that after you play clanwars on a high level, you'll think public is just a joke, and u dont even try to play serious anymore, along with nearly everybody in the server,that is why i dont think you have a clue on what you're argueing about, liquid...
i been getting mvp*5 and so on 6+ years ago, pretty sure everybody who ever played abit of clanwars was at their peak easily as good as i was back then
ps: i was/am better than orca, but sure enough, he was a better flyer than me, which is probably why i sniped in clanwars and was at one point probably the best AOW sniper to play

for whatever reason, though, they didn't play as well in bigger games

how is that argument valid? JELLY ONLY WON BECAUSE A FRACTION OF ITS TEAM PLAYED IN CLANWARS ALSO
clanwars.cc (100% clanwars players) vs. Jelly (~50% clanwars players)
if clanwars players are the best, why didn't clanwars.cc win every single com match ever? they've always had 100% of clanwars players on their teams
the team with the most of the best players should win - why wasn't that the case?

i'm sure clanwars, the most competitive people you'll find in this game, purposely fucked around when their name was at stake

i'm not doubting that clanwars players are good at what they do
i just find it hard to believe that every single one of them (aside from a handful) were able to be considered some of the best in public games
Spoony, who you might think sucks at clanwars compared to some other players, did far, far better in public games than 95% of clanwars players

Spoony is the only one who actually cared about every game he played even in a public server. I know that for a fact, that is why he did better than all the others.
He tried to coach everyone to play, get meds and shit all the time.
